Hey there! My name is Damilola. Hence the play on words. DamiLoCarb. I’m actually rather new to a Low-Carb lifestyle. I’ve had a few go arounds on the Whole 30 program, which can be relatively low carb depending on how many fruits and potatoes you incorporate. But I’ve been following the Ketogenic lifestyle since April 2017. I do have my off days here and there. But they are few and far between.

I started experimenting with cooking in general when my mom cut my meal plan off in college. I began to spend more and more time in the kitchen, so I could spend less and less time at the drive-thrus. I would come up with different recipes here and there, but never really wrote anything down. I never measured spices and seasonings because I’m a huge believer in “seasoning to taste.” I quickly realized that following recipes to the T, when it comes to spices, can lead you astray. Especially when it only calls for “salt and pepper” <— just no.

On this website, you’ll get to follow me along this low-carb lifestyle. I’ll have different types of recipes in numerous categories. Some will be extremely low carb, and others may be moderate. I have a huge sweet tooth, so you can expect to see a fair share of desserts on here!

I am not a nutritionist, although I think I should’ve definitely chosen that path in college. I’m actually an accountant. I got my bachelors and master’s in accountancy at Baylor University. I currently work in finance, but I spend m free time looking up recipes and coming up with new low-carb creations.
